Bride and Groom Shower Cakes Recipe
2 heart-shaped foil pans (8 inch)
1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® cake mix (any flavor)
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
1 can (8.4 oz) Betty Crocker® Cupcake Icing cloud white
1 can (8.4 oz) Betty Crocker® Cupcake Icing petal pink
White candy sprinkles
1 can (6.4 oz) Betty Crocker® Easy Flow black decorating icing
1 can (6.4 oz) Betty Crocker® Easy Flow white decorating icing
1 can (6.4 oz) Betty Crocker® Easy Flow red decorating icing
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease or spray bottoms of foil pans. Make and bake cake mix as directed on box for 8-inch pans. Cool 10 minutes. Run knife around sides of pans to loosen cakes; remove cakes from pans to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
2. For bride cake, place 1 cake layer on serving plate. Frost cake with white cupcake icing. Using pink icing, frost upper portion of heart cake in V-shape for skin. Using writing tip and white cupcake icing, pipe lace design on dress and V-shaped edge of dress. Use white candy sprinkles to make pearl necklace.
3. For groom cake, place remaining cake layer on serving plate. Frost cake with black decorating icing, leaving V-shape at top of cake. Using white decorating icing, frost V-shape for shirt. Using black decorating icing, pipe black buttons and lapels. Using red decorating icing, pipe red bow tie on shirt. Store loosely covered.
