Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus)

One of the commonest summer migrants that arrives in Ireland each year, but it is relatively unknown to the public at large. A 'sister species' of the Chiffchaff they can be difficult to tell apart but bright individuals, as in the photograph, usually don't cause too much difficulty ;)


This was taken in the back garden at end of August.
