Just Flying In To Check This Place Out
These scavengers seemed to follow us on the warm air currents/thermal climes from lake to lake today. With their huge wing span, we first thought maybe a group of eagles. As we went from East Lake to Woodland Lake they were there, then from just a number lake to West Lake too. As we rounded over to the deeply rounded out curve cove on West Lake I saw them from far away-the most far westerly section of the cove. Slowly, we made our way closer, and they seemed to keep flying in on to the dock one at a time. In total 8 of them were on this dock. Of course, one of these very large bodied creatures always had a close eye on us. We were there watching for about 30 to 45 minutes. Just enjoying them strut, fluff, stretching and checking this dock area out. A great day to be out.
