Casa del Balboa Planet

    Prev Next

This is my third planet. I took this outside of the Casa del Balboa in Balboa Park.

It took 204 pictures to make this. It is an HDR and stereographic projection.

I used Photomatix to batch process the HDRs.

Then I used PTgui to make the equirectangular panorama.

I used Flexify 2 plug-in for Photoshop to turn that equirectangular pano into a stereographic projection.

Then I used Photoshop to touch up stuff.

Easy as pie... and pie is actually really freakin' hard to make.

Wow! I'm just finding out that this photo along with two others have been featured on the art section of "What The Cool"

    whatthecool.com/tiny-panoramic-polar-planets

I think that it is really cool because all three of the photos on the site are my very first three true Stereographic Projection images ( aka Tiny Planets) :D

I kinda wish someone would have told me that they were going to use my images for their site though.....
