PC 010 Shrewsbury

The Old Market Hall, the Square, Shrewsbury was built of local Grinshill stone in 1596. The statue is said to be that of Richard, Duke of York (d. 1460), the father of Edward IV. It was salvaged from the old Welsh Bridge which was demolished in 1796.
