This was a lot cooler in my mind when I was doing it than it ended up, trust me. ;-) I actually got the idea after reading the DIY Photography Blog (which is really good if you've never looked at it). I forget what the article was actually about, something to do with lighting, but the picture they used for it was simply an image of a crumpled up sheet of paper. This got me thinking that it would be a good exercise in lighting to try and light a ball of paper in an interesting way.

I guess I failed the exercise because this sure doesn't look interesting to me. Oh well, hopefully I learned something from it. If nothing else, how not to light a wad of paper. :-)
