Laboratory of Maria Skłodowska-Curie
This year Poland celebrates hundredth anniversary of regaining independence. To honour this, my LUG (Zbudujmy to!) is building various MOCs depicting famous people and moments in the history of Poland.
Maria Skłodowska-Curie was one the greatest scientist of all times. Born and educated in Poland, worked in France. She discovered two radioactive elements: Radium and polonium. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win twice, the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences (chemistry and physics) (Wikipedia)
