Tiny art tin

    Newer Older

I spent the day researching small paintboxes and re-purposed an old Sucrets tin into a primaries box. Winsor Blue, Transparent Yellow, Quin Red, and Payne's Gray. A small waterbrush, sponge and pencil.

Too cute. I can't believe that you can fit your brush in there! Very cool. I bought my 1/2 pans at OPUS they were out of full pans the day I was shopping.

Thanks all. On a scrap piece of paper I tried to duplicate the colors left on a palette I had used before with tube colors just using the three primaries and Payne's Gray. I didn't really think it would be possible. But I got very close. These three primaries are very good colors - thanks to Kate for suggesting them.

Another option for a travel WC kit is to use bakeable molding clay to make the wells inside a mint tin. Then filling them with tube paint that dries in them. JP Martineau has a "how to" in this site www.instructables.com/id/Altoids-Tin-Pocket-Sized-Waterco...

      Tho I kinda like your's & BlueMoon's for their simplicity & compactness.
