The second ever "Botany Walk on the Historic Horseshoe" at USC. It was a dreadful day, cold and off-and-on drizzly rain, but there were about 25 people. Most were members of our economic botany class (Anthropology department), and basically required to be at the walk. I think the kids had fun, actually, plus they got to listen to some hilarious Dad jokes. For instance: the best way to identify a dogwood tree? By its bark.
