My Greenhouse #2 Winter 2011

    Newer Older

I have been slowly removing the back benches to allow more room for my mounted Vandaceous orchids. I have come to realize that they grow best when those all important roots to grow unencumbered....

Octopi R Cool, =Anubis=, brewbooks, and 2 other people added this photo to their favorites.

It took me a while to see the changes you mention, but the overall impression is great in any of these photos. Very orderly, yet lush too.

Very cool--and I bet your cats would love it out there (although probably not such a great idea if they're like my sister's cats in that anything green is considered a potential chew toy). Are the vandas primarily species or hybrids?

      thanks everyone
It is a mix of both species and hybrids as I love the variety. I really love Ascocentrum species with their bright colors and compact growth habit, so I have a bunch of them....and yeah, the cats would 'shred at will'...not so good for the plants.

What a marvellous set of pictures ! The inside of your greenhouse at different stages is such an imaginative sequence, and the images are inspirational to all gardeners.
On Black, the main picture is a place of wonderful detail and colour. Thank you for sharing.
