Waiting for nothing to happen

Tough shooting. Model and fotographer are standing, sitting, lying in the river at night. Bad flashlights make AF hard. This was one of the lesser tough positions for me and Tanja. I was lying on a stone, but had problems finding my AF/ MF button on the 70-200 in complete darkness, too many switches - do you really know your gear.

I would also have liked to see the AF point all the time - if it doesn't find the AF, it wouldnt blink red - and the gray Box doesn't help at night.

Does someone know how to configer the 5D MarkIII that way. I tried, but couldn't get it the way I wanted in the shooting hectic.
