DPRK steam locomotive types
On this image two types of steam locomotives are shown. The steam locomotive above is a standard gauge (1435mm) 2-6-2 tank locomotive for light passenger trains. It was constructed by Ohrenstein & Koppel in germany for several east asian railways in the late 1930tys and exported to China (Class PL3) and Korea.
The second one is a narrow gauge (785mm) type locomotive wich is build by a japanese (maybe Kawasaki) company. These types were send to Korea during the time of the occupation by Japan in the 1930tys and 40tys. Some of these examples were still in use until the late 1990tys on a narrow gauge railway near Musan.
