Engineering students support National MS Society through MuckFest™
Seven Wayne State University College of Engineering students took to Bell Isle on Aug. 3, 2013 to participate in MuckFest™, an event aimed at raising funds to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Students joined more than 1,500 participants on a five-mile course that featured a gauntlet of muck-filled mazes, pits and craters with more than 20 gigantic steel obstacles. According to industrial engineering student David Ridgeway, sheer determination helped the Wayne State team finish the challenging race. “No matter what I was not going to let me being tired stop me from crossing the finish line,” Ridgeway said.
