During the first weekend in February, Wayne State College of Engineering students Brad Chaiken and Luke Popiel attended the "MHacks" hackathon, held at the University of Michigan and sponsored by Facebook. More than 500 students from across North America attended. Chaiken and Popiel stayed awake for 36 straight hours developing a social collaboration web application using a wide range of code technologies. Their application was produced and focused on allowing MHacks participants to create an account, report, track and continue with their MHacks projects, as well as to share their stories and experiences. Chaiken and Popiel plan to continue the development of this application and would like to see it launched as a social network for community empowerment and collaborations.
