Dicky Beach again :) It was my intention to get the shadows of the ribs on the sand like this but I found it very difficult to get a satisfying final product.
With the camera too high on the tripod I would get sun flare so I had to lower it bringing the ribs across the horizon and into the dark region of the grad filter. I decided to dispense with the grad and try to do an HDR.
Taking the HDR shots was fine but my usual HDR workflow just wasn't cutting it. So It's taken me several tries at different things to arrive at this final product.
RAW files edited in Canon DPR to remove CA and then to sharpen.
RAW files saved then imported into DPHDR to merge exposures. Not much editing in DPHDR.
Merged TIFF file exported into CS5 for some curve layers and colour tweaking.
