LEGO MoldARama - Work In Progress #2
Now I can produce as many Clown minifigs as I want!
I will have hundreds by the end of the day!
Here's a fun Work In Progress video of the ever growing LEGO MoldARama machine. It's about 1/2 done with plenty to add and tune up and experiment further with. As I wait for some parts to show up, the next big task will be the implementation of the Multiplexer. In short, this is a clever bit of electronics that allows you to work past the NXT's built in limit of 3 motors ( why would you do this to us LEGO?? Why?? ). This after market piece of electronic wizardly will take a bit of work, but once it's in place it will allow me to finish the trap door and minifig 'cartridge' system that will create the real magic of the this fun device ( allowing it to make 4 or 5 clowns in a row! )
Mold-A-Rama is a brand name for a type of vending machine that makes blow-molded plastic figurines. Mold-A-Rama machines debuted in late 1962 and grew in prominence at the 1964 New York World's Fair.] The machines can still be found operating in some museums and zoos.
