This past weekend I drove up to Rollins Savannah to try and photograph the moonrise. I went out to the boardwalk area and noticed these little chunks of ice on top of the frozen pond. The late afternoon light was catching them just right so that they glowed. And for once, I had dragged the big lens with me so I was able to get a nice close up while lying flat on the boardwalk. I believe I did get a few odd stares.
While I got the moonrise, I think this is my favorite shot of that day. It certainly pays to keep an open mind.
It's finally snowing! The dogs had some fun running around in it as we were clearing off the driveway.
