Scenic Railway
The Scenic Railway Roller Coaster was designed by German Herr Erich Heidrich for the 1929 Paris Colonial Exhibition. It was operated at the Exhibition by showman Hugo Hans. At the close of the Exhibition, Pat Collins, then owner of the Pleasure Beach, purchased the ride and had the components shipped to England.

The ride was erected on the sand dunes of the Pleasure Beach site in 1932 and has been operational ever since. It is currently the only scenic railway to operate in the United Kingdom. It is the second tallest and second faster wooden roller coaster in the UK.
