IBM Building New York by Ed Barnes
IBM Building, now 590 Madison Avenue, in New York City designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes and completed in 1983. 41 Stories and 603 feet tall. Just over 1 million sq ft occupying 40% of the site. It was able to be taller than zoned by providing "privately-owned public space", the glass enclosed atrium. There is ample art consistant with IBM's role as a patron. The red Calder by the front entrance and the giant Jean Dubuffet inside are among a number works of art on site.
