Mid-August Festival Lantern......

Just like the traditional Chinese mid-August festival lanterns at night, over a dozen of these beautiful hanging lily lanterns light up a whole corner of my deck in the garden.

'Lilium Black Beauty' is an Orienpet lily, a cross that combines the best traits of the Trumpet and Oriental lilies, producing a large bloom with vibrant color and delicious fragrance.

'Black Beauty' is valued for its amazing garden performance, its long-lived reliability, and its vivid magenta flowers.

The flower petals are deep red with narrow silvery-white margins, lime green center, deeper black cherry speckling, and recurve tightly forming a nodding flower lantern that is quite impressive........

A light perfume adds to its appeal and striking beauty.
