      Any hole left in a Sahuaro is taken by whatever bird gets there first.

      Nice photo! I think this is actually a Gilded Flicker. The brown cap and gray face combined with the bright-yellow shafts on the wing feathers make it a gilded - a specialty bird of the southern Arizona deserts. Thanks for birdsharing! - Hugh
