    Actually, I think there isn't a dark patch on the (inner) leading edge of the wing from below: there's a couple of moments when the underwing is well illuminated, and the coverts look pretty uniform. Also, the underside of the flight feathers looks practically white in good light, and the tail is non-Buteo shape. Contrary to my first impression of it as Buteo-looking (despite its non-Buteo-like flight), I rather agree with the Joem chap that this is a turkey vulture.
