      the round house! I keep asking people in Pond Inlet if the floors inside are level or dip with the culvert but no one seems to know!

      I too have not made it inside this creative abode but I would guess the bottom third or so is used for storage after the foyer. Otherwise like piedmont fossil says, it would need lotsa side benches, shelves and beds to deal with the curvature. A skylighted vent at the tri-section of the pipes is its latest feature.

      Did you have a look in the caption for the link to a write-up? It's an environmentally friendly yet northern lifestyle abode that does well in studies of alternative housing. But it's also a do-it-yourself project, anywhere in the world.

      The beauty of our treeless tundra (and the flatter, the better) is that you can look out and see tomorrow coming... or go fetch that runaway dog.
