Saturn MethanoVision IR composite Oct 6, 2011
Comppsite infrared image assembled from raw images taken by the Cassini spacecraft from a distance of 2 million km on October 6, 2011.
RGB[MT3,MT2,CB2] composite that has been detail enhanced using the CB2 higher resolution image, as well as contrast enhanced and channel mixed. No clone stamping was done so some cyan dots and associated artifacts are present in order to not lose any possible details. (Two are very close to the storm region).
A bright-dark yin yang swirl can be seen close to the belt-zone boundary. Also a white patch (high level clouds - upwelling?) can also be seen to the SW of the yin yang swirl in the middle of a darker zone. To the S, the turbulent remnants of the Serpent storm continue to roil around the planet.
