Arch Bridge

After the NBS train, we headed for Mattawamkeag (a place I've always wanted to visit just because of the name) and found an Maine Eastern crew switching using the Pan Am power that was in town.

On the south end of town an unusual through truss bridge with arched top chords carries track over the Penobscot River. Pretty backlit but this was the only thing moving for a couple hundred miles, so you do what ya gotta do. Railfanning in Maine is a LOT different than in the Midwest.
