On My Long Journey Home

    Newer Older

The Halfa Church in Emmett County, Iowa was the last official photo stop on the way home from a week long Montana, North & South Dakota photo road trip with Rodney Harvey. I've know about this place for 7 years but have never been fortunate enough to catch a good cloud set when paying a visit......until this day. What a great way to end the trip!

Did you enter some pics in the state fair this year?
For the first time in 4 years I did! This shot was one of them (+ 3 other ones), hopefully they get in and do well.

Saw this on display at the Iowa State Fair. Simply amazing! I was 0-4 on my first attempt but I've only been shooting less than a year. Your work is stunning. Fantastic job!

Thanks Jim! You're just getting started....... keep shooting, stay inspired and good things will come to you at the fair. I've enter the state fair photo contest 12 times and you never know what will get in the show, let alone win an award. That's actually part of the fun of it.

This is a masterpiece. I can't imagine what would have placed over it in the fair (kittens?), but this is a grand prize winner in my book. Those lines, the light, the blurry clouds......
