12:365 Snow removal crew
Until I moved to Ottawa, I had never seen snow removal like this. Thought it might be interesting to those in more, um, civilized climates!
There is so much snow during the winter, and so little of it melts, that they have to suck up the snowbanks on the side of the road with the giant snowsucker on the far right, which then spews it into the waiting dump truck. The dump trucks work in teams of two or more, hauling the snow to designated snow dumps, where it is bulldozed into mountains that don't melt until well into the summer.
