Martin Darbyshire

1960 What?

Context for work: Martin Darbyshires practice is indebted to traditional sculptural phenomena whilst questioning its place and relevance in the age of digital information. Darbyshire disrupts ordinary utilitarian objects, transforming them into desirable crafted sculptures. Exploring the expectations and response of the audience his work humours a collective failure to move beyond one’s everyday existence.
