Downing Street

Mrs. Flora Drummond and Miss. Annie Kenney are being led away to Cannon Row Police Station on 9th March 1906 after attempting to force their way into No.10 Downing Street to talk to the then Prime Minister, Henry Campbell-Bannerman. The Prime Minister declined to prosecute the Ladies and they were released. Mrs. Drummond subsequently became a leading light in the WSPU and was imprisoned in 1914 under the 'Cat and Mouse Act'.
