      Nice place!!! I was there last year. It's amazing. A tale says that rocks are trolls which were caught outside at dawn. :)

      and hector yes - there are myths about everything here. the volcano katla which is in the glacier above vík has a good one about how it got its name. i found the story in english here under the "local guide" tab - The Tale about Katla and Kotlugja
