Big Boy Tomatoes - Plant Alpha
Plant Alpha is still hanging in there. He was doing really well for a long while, but he started showing signs of fatigue and leaf curling, along with some stunted growth. He had gotten massively overgrown, and so I attribute the problems to the roots simply not being able to sustain such a massive plant. Imagine the plant you see here, but without a discernable separation between the main shoots. He looked like one enormous bush.
I pruned back the unproductive offshoots and suckers yesterday, and he's already starting to look better.
