Striped marsh frog tadpoles - day 3

Growing and active, tadpoles of the striped marsh frog (Limnodynastes peronii) exploring the pond. On top of the water, partly hidden from our view by a green stem, and unbothered by the tadpoles, is a mosquito, Rampamyia notoscriptus. Como NSW Australia, April 2009.

A photograph taken the day before shows the tadpoles a tad smaller.
