      Wonderful shot of my favorite avian crooner. We had a birder out here who claimed he could distinguish an Eastern from a Western Meadowlark without the benefit of DNA....

      Beautiful! I'm glad you left the surrounding dry grass in the frame, it's the perfect environment for this bird. So camouflaged, except hello, yellow!
