Slovak Home

This is Slovak Home in Detroit. From what I could gather, it was built around 1922. It was used for housing Slovak immigrants after they arrived to the area from Central and Eastern Europe. They used this as a home until they could find other accomodations in the community. It was in part of what the community called "St. Cyrils Village" as it was close to the now abandoned (if the info I researched is correct, this church was supposed to be demolished in 2003)St. Cyril church.
