I really like this picture, was this picture taken on New Years ? I have seen many pictures that have displayed this same type of thing, but are not always from New Years.

hi Alysa - yes the photo is taken on New Years. Sydney normally has 2 sets of firework shows. One's at 9pm for the kiddies and the big one's at 12 just as the New Year starts. This photo's taken towards the end of the midnight fireworks show (which by the way is about 10-15 minutes)

@ it's the 31st December- this image is taken a few minutes after midnight but the fireworks are still referred to as NYE fireworks

Congratulations on receiving more than 25,000 views -- that's quite impressive! Now that you've reached this milestone, you might want to consider graduating this photograph from the 'Views: 10000' group to the 'Views: 25,000' group, which can be found here: www.flickr.com/groups/views25000/

Once again, congratulations and hopefully your photos will receive many more views in the future! Reminder: Photos should only be in one 'Views:xx' group at a time.
