Tia Dalma's Shack

Newer Older

In Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Jack Sparrow and his crew travelled to Tia Dalma in order to find the Flying Dutchman. The mystic Tia Dalma lives in a tumbledown shack in the Cypress Forest on Cuba. Later his crew returned to the swampy forest to mourn Jack's death and to be confronted with the resurrected Barbossa.

Awesome! Someone just sent me a link to this - looks like I created a similar MOC less than a month before you! www.flickr.com/photos/cyndibourne/5855307062/in/set-72157... I love how yours is only 1 baseplate, and still gets all the details in! Your foliage is amazing (variation and design), and your small shack still has all the detail needed, with an open/viewable back. I also like your water - I don't have any of those trans-blue bricks (just a few 1x1s). I believe you created this for a contest...? I hope you won!

Mine was my first MOC, so needless to say it wasn't anywhere near as detailed/compact/intricate as yours. But we had the same idea for the Tia Dalma fig, except I used the mermaid's hair from the POTC set - I considered Bellatrix's, but went for this instead. That troll queen torso was perfect!

I saw your other pictures on Brickshelf, how did you do Tia Dalma minifig? Which parts did you use for the torso and legs?
