President Gerald Ford, MCAS El Toro, 1976

Photo taken in the summer of 1976, during a campaign trip by President Gerald R. Ford to Southern California. While in Orange County, then President Ford visited the Mission Viejo area to see one of his sons, who was in the area. The pictured deputies were a part of a security escort from Mission Viejo to Anaheim and back to El Toro Marine Base where this picture was taken with Orange County Sheriff's Office personnel. From left to right President Gerald Ford, Inv. Charles Stumph, Sgt. George Byrd, Deputies Timothy Dick, Kevin Riggs (??), Neal Hansel, James Frye, and Lt. Jack Devereaux.
