Mother and Calf whale
In the Yalata Aboriginal Lands is the Head of Bight, the most northerly point of the Great Australian Bight. Here pairs of whales, mother and child, come to rest and grow in the relatively safe shallow waters of the bight. There were at least 4 pairs visible from the plaform without any assistance for viewing. I must say I was very impressed. The best whale watching experience ever!
