Blue Eyed Grass

FP & Explore #10 Thank you!

This photograph is dedicated to one of the sweetest ladies on Flickr... Kim (Three Peanuts) who wrote me a wonderful testimony. Thank you, Kim!

Not only is Kim a fabulous photographer and friend, she is a fabulous MOM to her "three peanuts", as well. She definitely has her priorities straight... Family First! I admire Kim so much and am blessed to have her as a friend. Please stop by and visit her lovely stream.

This is a photograph of some Eastern Blue Eyed Grass that I found growing near the edge of one of our pastures. They are not a "true grass". The Blue-eyed Grasses, genus Sisyrinchium, are a substantial group of flowering plants of the iris family, Iridaceae. There are between 70 to 150 species (according to different authors), all native to North America, South America and Australia. Several Eastern U. S. species are threatened or endangered, so I will be careful not to mow these down.

I've had a handful of people say that my photo is not showing up in their contact's uploads.... anyone know what's going on with Flickr to day?
