Better in B&W

St. Paul’s is the oldest Protestant place of worship in Canada. Founded by proclamation of King George II in 1749, the building was erected in the summer of 1750, and first opened its doors for services on September 2nd of that year.

St. Paul’s is the oldest existing building in Halifax, and has been part of the history of Halifax since that date; many of its parishioners were instrumental in the founding of the city of Halifax, the Province of Nova Scotia, and indeed of Canada.
