Please look forward to seeing my creation at Brickcon 2010's Big In Japan.

It is a small display, so keep an eye out for it while loitering through the other massive anime mecha.

Inspired by the 1:1 scale Gundam in Shizuoka Japan, I aimed to faithfully reproduce a Gundam's shape with Lego in 1/144th scale. My hope is to incorporate dynamic mobility while still capturing the robot's "damashii" or spirit / essence.

LDD is nice, but there is no substitute for the real thing--your elastic band techniques are perfect examples. The program won't let me do things that I KNOW are possible with real lego, because every block takes up a rectangular space rather than one that is form-fitted. So, if things intrude into another's rectangle by even a micron, it won't allow it. Its better than no building at all though. I wish I had my actual lego out of storage...
