Oberhausen - Gasometer Oberhausen 02

Since his closing about twenty years ago he has developed to the landmark of the city of Oberhausen and, in addition, to the incalculable registration of a whole region.

The gasometre is more than just an industrial monument.

Built in the end of the 1920s, the biggest disc gas tank of Europe reminds impressively of the heavy industry which has stamped the Ruhr area more than for a century.

The immense interior of the gasometre accommodates constantly varying exhibitions.
