Goya Entrance to the Prado

Stairwell from the Calle de Felipe leading down to the north end grounds and Goya entrance to the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain. The center of the stairwell contains a statue of the Spanish court painter Francisco Goya (1746-1828). The sculptor Mariano Benlliure created the statue of bronze, marble, and granite in 1902. The large building seen in the background is the historic Madrid Ritz Hotel.
