Cool Drink on a Hot Day

    Newer Older

The weather was hot. The wind was still. The poor eagles (two females that had been wounded in the wild), obviously sweltering as they sat on their perch (even though there is plenty of shade for them), needed something to cool off. One of them decided to jump down and take a nice, long drink in the puddle of water. I was jealous.

The two eagles are located at the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, Michigan.
