One of our largest wood warblers. It skulks in the underbrush and tangles, making it difficult to see, let alone photograph. It has a repertoire of hoots, cackles, whistle and hoots. I had spent many hours and outings trying to get an image. It was only when I was out photographing bees for the Illinois Bee Spotter project, that one came and posed for me on a branch just 10 feet away!
