Bluetongue Lizard

We were moving a pile of mulch when Pam dug this beastie out. It had clearly burrowed in to protect itself over winter. We moved it to one side and continued to remove the pile. More carefully now in case it had some friends. Alas no. Plenty of cockroaches and centipedes though. We were relieved when a little later, warmed by the sun, it started moving away. I took a few quick snaps, but still had the camera set for -3EV/9 shot bracket from yesterday, so only managed a couple of keepers.
