A very sad sight

We got a call this Morning about a stranded Whale on Beadnell Bay. We went from work to see if we could help.

We estimated a young Male Sperm Whale 10 metres long. It's very strange as the news keeps saying that it died today and was alive this Morning but this Whale has clearly been dead for a few days. People thought it was still alive earlier but it was just moving with the tide. This has been discussed yet the news is still reporting the wrong story, not sure why.

We don't get Sperm Whales in the North Sea very often as they are a deep diving animal. The North Sea simply isn't that deep and no Giant Squid to eat. The poor Whale probably got lost around Norway and took a wrong turn. Really odd though as there has been lots of fish strandings in Yorkshire and another dead Sperm Whale washed up in Scotland last week.

It's such a shame as I have seen two Sperm Whales in my life now but both were strandings
