A württembergisch infantryman from one of the Garde Landsturm Bataillone.

 

The Garde Landsturm battalions were usually named after the battlegrounds of the Prussian army. This fellow is wearing a M1913 Wachstuchmütze (oilskin cap) with Württemberg cockade, pre-war tunic with Garde litzen and Swedish cuffs, black trousers and regulation Marschstiefel or boots.

 

He is armed with a Gew 88 fitted with a S71 bayonet.
