Khiamniungan Tribe

Khiamniungans are another major tribe inhabiting in Tuensang of Nagaland. The weavers from this tribes are known for their fine and delicate designs. The ornaments are made of cowries and conch shells.


The tribal dance, their movements depict the fierce behavior of tigers, bears and other wild animals when roused to anger. Giving out high pitched shouts and yells, they psych themselves up for the battle ahead.
