Lesser Adjutant

Pulau Kukup National Park. Went for a family trip to Kukup for some R&R, good food and catch up with some members of the family. It was planned by my wife, so I was just expecting to chill out. But when we reached Kukup, I found myself staring at Pulau Kukup and the bird calls beckon. So, I found my way to the island, paid the entrance fee for locals and found my way to the top of the five-storey observation deck (level 5 was named "Brahminy Kite", aptly so, since we were at their level). I was not expecting to see much. There were some common birds encountered, grey heron, whimbrels, common sandpiper, olive-backed sunbird, magpie robin, brahminy kite, collared kingfisher, white-bellied sea-eagle, until this fella (the star of the place) showed up. When I realised what it was (a long-desired lifer), a broad smile formed.
